Welcome to Venture Crew 94 of Toney, Alabama Venturing is a co-ed program created by the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who have similar interests in a multitude of experience areas including high adventure, drama, sports, boating, and many more. The focus of Venture Crew 94 is all about high adventure such as backpacking, canoeing, skiing, rock climbing and rappelling, wilderness survival, first aid, caving, hiking, camping, pioneering, hiking, orienteering, and also to enhance our member’s life experiences with positive social activities, community service, and leadership skills. Meetings: VC-94 meets at Toney United Methodist Church on 9465 Old Railroad Bed Road, Toney, Alabama on Tuesday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Enter at the gym through the double doors on the right side of the church. Venturing is all about learning by doing so the meeting plan is to conduct skill training in association with the theme of the next event. Crew members reinforce their skills by conducting the training - the desire is not just to learn a skill but to master it. Eligibility: Youth members are between the ages of 14-20 years old and completed the 8th grade. Advisors are those 21 and older. Members: A typical youth member of VC-94 is a high school teenager who wants to experience high adventure. Most members live an active lifestyle with school, church, sports, friends, family, band, and activities. No extreme physical capability is required - just a willingness to participate and experience the high adventure actives we all enjoy. Quick Calendar: |
